Grow a Grocery Store

I was at the craft store the other day and I saw a cool pattern book. I had thought about crocheting these before, but hadn't gotten around to it. The pattern book was for play food. These are great for kids to play with in their kitchens, stores, etc. It can help teach healthy eating along with colors and foods. So I have ordered this new pattern book and I eagerly await it's arrival!! The reason I wanted to make these is because our current play food is plastic and no matter how many times I try to show my daughters how to pretend to 'eat' them they end up looking like this...

I would much rather they look like this....

Now for the announcement part :) I plan to go through the book and make each pattern one at a time, before making sets (like a picnic set or veggie set). So I am inviting all of you my fans, friends and family to join me in this journey. As I make each item I will sell some of them at a discounted price. Once I have made them all (34), I will begin selling them in sets.

If this is something you are interested in buying jump in now and save some money :) Everyone will have until July 4th to let me know if they want to be part of this.

There are a few ways to be part of this....

1) Pay for all of the items up front for a discounted price of $2.94 an item (for a total of $100, not including shipping), shipping for this package will have to be decided once all the items are made, since I don't know how big of a package it will be.

2)Pay as we go for $4 an item and $1.50 shipping for each item. The items will be shipped as they are finished. With this option you would be able to decide that you love the banana and can't live without it, but would rather not buy the pie (this is just an example since I'm not sure of all the items in the book).

Breakfast
Bacon
Bagel Half
Fried Egg

Letters - The Process

The process of getting custom letters is actually very easy!! Here I will show you step by step what happens. First we will talk about the decor, style of letter, what you like, dislike & if you have any ideas. Then I draw up the draft... On this one we decided to add the 'y' to the end of 'happ' instead of using the wooden letter to represent the 'y'. After I get the OK on the draft I begin painting.... When they are done I email you a picture and then send them to you!!

Customized Letters

I love getting to make customized letters. It all started when I was pregnant with my first daughter, Taryn. I wanted to make letters that matched her bedroom. So I went out and bought her letters, some bright vibrant paint, and few other things. I designed them to match her room, but to also grow with her. These were my first letters, so they don't match right on, but the bright colors have worked well with transitioning into her toddler room. The letters range in price depending on which type of letter you choose and they are priced per letter. These would be great for any room, for instant the nursery, bedroom, laundry room, living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. They are also great presents for any occasion....and the Holidays are right around the corner!! You can contact me on Etsy (http://www.newbornswag.etsy.com/ ) or on Facebook (www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Newborn-Swag/130091108258?ref=ts ). Here are my completed letters and a picture of the bedding they match.
